FIGuring It Out on Long Island
The fig is an ancient fruit that originated in a very different climate far from Long Island. Yet, you too can enjoy growing and eating fresh figs. Master Gardener & BCAHS Member Doreen Monteleone will tell you tips and tricks to be successful growing figs in pots and in-ground.

Gift shop will be closed last 2 weeks of January 2025 and
all of February 2025.
Will reopen March 2025.
We are looking for volunteers to help staff the gift shop.

Workshops
Every year Educational Workshops are offered to members and non - members. This past year a two-day Bonsai Workshop was offered in the Upper Carriage House. Participants received a hand-crafted bonsai from a master bonsai creator. In previous years we have offered many workshops including Basket Weaving, Hypertufa, Holiday Centerpieces, Wreath making and Floral Design.

WHEN WE MEET IN PERSON MEETINGS:
We request a $5 tax deductible donation for non-members who attend general meetings.
If the Main Gates are not open, use the second set of gates that is marked for Employees Only (a short distance east from the Main Gate). Bear right and then left to get onto the main Arboretum road. Pass alongside the Entrance Booth to parking lot on the right.
